Share status updates to Facebook stories within WhatsApp

WhatsApp is developing the ability to share status updates in its latest Whatsapp for iOS beta update. This optional feature will reportedly post your status updates as your Facebook stories directly from within the WhatsApp app.

You must be knowing that this function was already available to WhatsApp users by using the share menu but it would redirect you to the Facebook app and you had to manually share the update by creating a post. So each time you post something new you had to take an extra step.

The WhatsApp news portal has also shared a screenshot of this feature. In the preview, you can see that the app developers team is planning to make the process of status updates to Facebook stories automatic. They are adding a ‘Facebook’ option under a new ‘share my status updates across My accounts’ option.

The company has added this new interface under ‘status privacy’ settings and it will reportedly make the process of sharing a status update to Facebook much faster and easier saving your valuable time and effort.

However, you can always manually set with whom you want to share your status updates and also choose the type of updates that you want to share as your status. Notably, as this is an optional feature it will remain disabled by default. But you can always enable it whenever you want to and then disable it again.

This will help you keep control over your personal status updates. The report further mentions that this feature will also help WhatsApp users reach a wider audience because Facebook stories have a larger user base.

It is assumed that the platform may also add other options like the ability to share status updates to Instagram stories in the future. As already mentioned the feature is currently under development process so it is not available to beta testers. Once it is ready you will know through a new post on our website.
