As per the reports of the leading WhatsApp news source WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is developing a short video messages feature for iOS users. This upcoming WhatsApp feature will reportedly be different from the current long-format videos. You can record and send videos of up to 60 seconds as a message to your contacts.
The report further mentions that these video messages are totally safe and secure as the platform does not allow you to forward these video messages to other contacts or even save them. Notably, they will also be fully encrypted.

In the image, you can see that the video messages will function just like the voice notes feature along with the ability to capture and share video content.
