Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ smartphones are now available in India. The company unveiled the latest A2 series in March and virtually launched the duo in India on the 19th of May. Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ – Specifications
Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ smartphones feature 6.52 inch HD Plus display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1660 pixels. The displays are bezel-less with a waterdrop notch on top. The LCD IPS screen supports a 120Hz of touch sampling rate and 400 nits of brightness. Both the phones look a lot similar to their predecessors, the Redmi A1 and Redmi A1+.
Under the hood, the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ are powered by MediaTek Helio G36 processor. Both smartphones run on the Android 13 Go Edition operating system. The camera setup is also similar on both Redmi A2 series that consists of 8MP AI dual rear cameras and a QVGA lens. For selfies, the smartphones provide a 5MP front camera.

Other similar features of Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ are FM radio support, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a memory card slot, dual sim card slots, a micro USB port, 4G VoLTE, VoWiFi connectivity, scratch and splash resistance, and much more. Both smartphones pack a powerful 5000mAh battery with 10W charging capacity.
The difference between the two devices is that the Redmi A2 + is equipped with a rear fingerprint sensor while Redmi A2 is not. Another difference between the two phones is their RAM and storage capacity. The A2 comes in 3 storage options while the A2 + variant is available only with one storage option.

Both the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ come in three color options- Sea Green, Calming Aqua Blue, and classic black. You can buy the smartphones online via Amazon, MI.com, MI Home, and offline through retail stores from 23rd May onwards.
Price and Availability
The Redmi A2 2GB + 32GB is available at Rs. 5,999, the 2GB+64GB comes at Rs. 6,499 and the 4GB+64GB can be purchased at Rs. 7,499 while the A2+ is available at Rs. 8,499 in India. The company is also providing an instant discount of up to Rs. 500 to ICICI bank card holders on any of the above-mentioned models.
