WhatsApp introducing block shortcut feature
A previous article released by WABetaInfo, the leading WhatsApp news portal reported about WhatsApp beta for the Android 184.108.40.206 update. The report mentioned that the Meta-owned platform was working to introduce a shortcut to block contacts straight from the chat list.
In this current beta update, the platform is developing one more shortcut for the same feature. The first block shortcut will be available within the chat option and the second will be available in the notifications section.
The new source reveals that when you receive a message from any unknown or unwanted number, there will be a pop-up notification along with three options -‘REPLY’, ‘BLOCK’, and ‘MUTE’. So you can easily block the message from this shortcut.
However, this shortcut is not always visible and will appear only if the number is unknown or unreliable. As mentioned earlier the block shortcuts feature is currently under development process so it is not available to beta testers. There is also no news on its final release date.
