WhatsApp is developing a bookmark icon to identify kept messages. This feature is reported to be available in a later update of the beta Android app. According to the report of a leading WhatsApp news portal WABetInfo, in the future, a bookmark icon will appear in the message bubble of disappearing messages.
This icon will help you to identify your WhatsApp kept messages. WABetaInfo has also released a screenshot of the feature in which you can see the new Interface. Earlier the popular Instant Messaging App had released news about the ‘kept messages’ feature. This message lets you save disappearing messages for a limited time period. Most of you must be knowing that when you keep a disappearing message it does not get deleted automatically from the chat and all chat participants are able to see the message.
Notably, you also have the option to Un-keep the message at any time. After you choose to ‘un – keep’ the message will automatically disappear from the chat and it cannot be recovered later. In this current beta update, the platform is adding a bookmark icon in the interface of kept messages feature.

However, at present, this feature is under development process but you can get a preview of it in the released screenshot. In the image, you can see that the bookmark icon is added to the message bubble of a disappearing message that works as an identification mark.
This is also an indicator that the kept message won’t get expired even if the disappearing message feature is enabled in any chat. So, when this feature will be finally released, you can easily know which messages have been kept in the disappearing chat.

Although many of the chat participants can delete these messages whenever they want. The Meta-owned WhatsApp has submitted this update through the Google Play beta program with this update, the current version reaches 2.23.1.24.
