Realme is preparing to launch its latest mid-range smartphone, the Realme Neo7, in China on December 11th. Only days before the big reveal, the firm released some exciting tidbits regarding the phone’s huge battery. At the same time, speculations circulate regarding a Realme gadget with an even larger 8000mAh battery.
Realme Neo7 Battery
The Realme Neo7 is expected to feature with a massive 7000mAh battery, one of the largest Realme has ever given. This Titan battery, developed in partnership with CATL, is expected to provide exceptional performance.
Here’s what the phone can do on a single charge:
- Up to three days of use without needing to recharge.
- 23 hours of video playback, ideal for binge-watching.
- 22 hours of map navigation, perfect for long journeys.
- 89 hours of music playback to keep the music going.
- 14 hours of video calls to keep you connected.
And if you’re a gamer, you’ll be pleased to know that the phone allows you to play Honor of Kings for 8.5 hours at a constant 120fps. All of this power is housed in a sleek design that measures only 8.5mm thick.
The Realme Neo7 is already available for pre-order in China, with a starting price of under CNY 2,499 (about ₹29,200).
Battery Testing
As if the Neo7’s battery wasn’t remarkable enough, leaks from tipster DigitalChatStation point to Realme’s future ambitions to advance battery technology even further. The business is allegedly evaluating new combinations for their 2025 flagships, including:
- A 7,000mAh battery with 120W rapid charging that fully charges in 42 minutes.
- A 7,500mAh battery charged at 100W for 55 minutes.
- An 8000mAh battery charges at 80W and takes only 70 minutes to reach 100%.
Although faster charging speeds trade off with greater battery capacities, they nevertheless provide speedy and efficient power-ups. While Realme has not announced the names of the phones that will include these advancements, it is safe to presume they will be released on premium products.
