Use Elytra to Fly in Minecraft and Pocket Edition
You can fly in Survival using Elytra wing equipment. First, defeat the Ender Dragon in the End zone. It unlocks two portals: a central and side portal. The central portal sends you back to the overworld.
Look for the side portal floating high in air. This portal is small and near the island edge. To enter it, throw an Ender Pearl inside it. This takes you to another End island for exploration.
Now search carefully for an End City with towers. End Cities are built with purple and yellow blocks. It may take time to find one city. Each End City may have a floating End Ship. Use an Ender Pearl to reach the End Ship. Some ships have platforms to stand and throw pearls.
Inside the End Ship, find a treasure chest area. A Shulker may be guarding it, so defeat it. Behind the chest is an item frame on wall. Break the frame to collect your Elytra wing item. Now open inventory and equip it in chest slot. To fly, jump from a high place and glide.
In mid-air, press the jump button to begin gliding. You will move forward and slowly fall downwards. Avoid turning upwards too sharply during your flight. Sharp turns will stall your glide and cause falling. You may get hurt if landing at high speed. Use safe height and space to glide smoothly always.
Fly in Minecraft and Minecraft Pocket Edition with Cheats
Cheats allow flying in both PC and PE versions. First, enable cheats in game menu or LAN settings. On PC, press Esc, select “Open to LAN” option. Click “Allow Cheats,” then “Start LAN World” to begin. In Pocket Edition, go to Settings > Game > Cheats. Turn the cheat option on before starting your world.
Once cheats are enabled, open chat and type command: Type /gamemode c to switch into Creative flying mode. Creative Mode gives you flying powers and unlimited items. Double tap the jump button to begin flying up. Hold the jump button to fly higher in the sky. Hold the sneak key to slowly move down again.
You can also stop flying by touching the ground. Double tapping the jump button will also stop flight. To return to Survival Mode, type /gamemode s command. Always land first before switching, or you will fall. Flying with cheats is fast, safe, and very helpful. You can explore, build, or escape danger with ease.
