In the recent beta update, WhatsApp is reportedly developing the ability to import the backup. WABetaInfo has also released a screenshot of this new feature. In the screenshot, you can see how it works. This feature will be helpful when you try to log into your WhatsApp account from any other device.

It will also be useful if you have reinstalled the application on the same device. With this new import option, the app will let you import all your exported backups with ease. As per the reports, this new Restoration option will be helpful when you have difficulty getting a Wi-Fi connection.

This feature will also be useful when you don’t have a local backup automatically created by the app. This way you will be able to export a backup and again import it afterward. The feature to Import and Export backup is currently under development process. So, it is yet not available for testing.
