WhatsApp rolling out ‘unread chat filter’ feature for beta Android users

WhatsApp is rolling out the unread chat filter feature for beta Android users. The platform has submitted this updates through the Google Play Beta Program. With this update the current version reaches to 2.22.16.4. In this update the Meta owned Instant Messenger is reportedly announcing the ability to filter unread chats.

At present this feature will be available only to some select beta testers. It is a fast, simple and secure messaging app and regularly keep on introducing new features on the platform to enhance users experience. In this beta update the popular messaging platform is bringing another great version of WhatsApp for Android.

WhatsApp introducing Unread Chat Filter

In a previous report on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.13.14 update the reliable WhatsApp news source has shared news about unread chat filter. WABetaInfo has reported that this feature was already rolled out to some certain beta testers in this update. With the availability of this feature users were able to filter their chats.

This chat filter feature showed only those chats that contained new messages. Unfortunately the platform had to disable this feature in the very next update. However the reason for this is still not known.

The good news is that in this current beta update the company is rolling it out again to select beta testers. The leading WhatsApp news portal has also released a screenshot of this feature. You can see that now you can use this new unread chat filter to search for chats and messages.

This feature will let you see the list of all your unread chats even if you have previously marked them manually. Although the unread message filter feature is already released to WhatsApp beta for iOS users last month.

As mentioned earlier at present this feature is released only to some certain beta testers. Those who haven’t received this feature please wait for a future update as more activation are on the line in coming weeks.
