WhatsApp is rolling out a new select messages feature for the beta Windows app. In this update, the Instant messaging platform has reportedly added a select option right within the context menu to select messages. At present this feature will be available only to a few select beta testers.

It is popularly known that the Meta-owned company has been continuously working to improve its native window’s beta app. Earlier the company introduced some bug fixes and new features like call links. WhatsApp Select Messages feature

The popular social media platform WhatsApp is enabling a multi-selection feature for messages to beta Windows users. With this feature, users will be able to manage their chat history on the Windows app very easily. As per the reports, the feature will let users select more than one message from a conversation and then delete, forward, and even copy or star-mark all of them at a time.

The leading WhatsApp news source WABetaInfo has also released a screenshot of the feature. In the image, you can see that now you will be able to select multiple messages on the Windows app.

For this, you have to click on the ‘select’ option available within the context menu. You can also click on the ‘select messages’ option that will appear when you click anywhere within a conversation.

The WhatsApp news portal suggests that the feature is very important for several reasons. The ability to select multiple messages saves you a lot of time and effort. This feature also gives you more control over your chat history and you can manage your chats and storage very easily.

As mentioned earlier the select messages feature is currently released only to some select beta testers who install the latest version from the Microsoft store.
