WhatsApp is working on a search message-by-date feature for beta iOS users. The platform has submitted this update through the TestFlight beta programs with this update, the current version reaches 22.19.0.73. Within WhatsApp setting the same feature is available in the 2.22.19.73 version. The TestFlight build of this feature is 22.19.0 (396688670).
You all know that the Meta-owned platform has been regularly working on new features to enhance the app’s user Interface. WhatsApp’s Search Message by Date feature for beta iOS
The leading WhatsApp news portal WAbetaInfo released a report on a new under-development feature about two years ago. According to the report this feature was being developed to let users view messages sent on a particular date. Later the platform canceled the plan to roll out the feature to the public for some unknown reasons.
As per recent reports the company has lately been testing the same upgraded search feature for iOS users again. This means the WhatsApp search message by date feature could soon be released to beta testers in a future update of the app. You must be knowing that WhatsApp already has a feature with which you can search a chat by typing a particular word used in that chat.

WhatsApp’s New Search Message by Date feature
In the available screenshot, you can see the new ability that would allow you to view messages by date. WAbetaInfo reveals a new calendar icon in the search bar. This icon will appear when you search for any message in a specific conversation.
With this new icon, you can instantly select the exact date on which you want to search and read messages. When you are done you can remove the date view by simply scrolling through the conversation.

The report further mentions that the search message by date feature will be very useful when you want to search for a particular chat with an individual contact on a specific date. So you won’t have to go through long chat threads to find a certain message.

As mentioned earlier this feature is currently under development process it is not available to beta testers. However, according to the news source, it is good that the platform is finally working to release the feature again.
