WhatsApp is rolling out a ‘Status reaction‘ feature to some select beta Android users. The platform has submitted this update through the Google Play Beta Program with this update the current version reaches 2.22.17.24. In this update, the popular messaging platform is rolling out the ability to react to status updates to some specific beta testers.

WhatsApp Rolling Out Status Reactions Feature
The news tracker reported that the platform was working on a new under-development feature that enables users to react to status updates. In this current beta update, the company is finally rolling out this feature with a total of 8 emojis for reacting.
The available emojis are Smiling face with heart eyes, Tears of joy face, open mouth face emoji, crying face, Flodden Hands, clapping hands, party popper, and Hundred points. According to the report at present, only a few lucky beta testers will be able to use this feature.

The news tracker has also released a screenshot of the Status Reactions feature. In the screenshot, you can see that the process for reacting to status is very easy. It is just like you reply to any status update. To check if this feature is enabled in your WhatsApp account just swipe up after viewing any status update.
If this feature is available to you the available 8 emojis for reacting will appear on your screen. The report also mentions that when someone sends any reaction to your status update, the particular emoji the person reacted with will be sent as a message. So, you will get the notifications on your chat box as soon as anybody reacts to your status.
As per the reports, a few lucky beta testers may also receive the same feature in the previous beta builds. As mentioned earlier at present the status reactions are available only to certain beta testers. To get this feature to be sure to install the latest update of WhatsApp beta.
