WhatsApp is rolling out a New Message reactions feature for beta Android users. In this update some WhatsApp beta Android and iOS users will now be able to choose any emoji for reacting to messages. This update will be available in previous 2.22.15.6 and 2.22.15.7 versions of WhatsApp beta Android and 22.14.0.71 version of WhatsApp beta for iOS.

The Meta owned Instant Messaging app is currently reported to be rolling out this updated version only to some select beta testers. Earlier the company had rolled out the ability to react to messages to all users using the recent stable version of WhatsApp available in Play Store and app store.

WhatsApp rolling out New Message Reactions

News on ability to react to Messages has been around for a while. The WhatsApp developers team has been working to upgrade this feature since the first version of this feature was gradually released to the users. This latest development makes this feature more fun for reacting to your messages. Two months back, the company was working on a new version of message reactions features for WhatsApp beta Android and iOS users.

According to the latest reports of the news portal with the availability of this new version you will be able to use any available emoji from the emoji keyboard for reacting to messages. Since it has already been two months the platform made this announcement, the new message reactions is already available to some certain beta testers.

The WhatsApp news source has also released a screenshot of this new feature in it’s report. To check if this ability to react to messages with any emoji is available to your WhatsApp account just try reacting to any message. If the feature is enabled to your account, a new plus icon will be visible to you within the reaction tray.

When you click on this icon the emoji keyboard will open on any Android device. In iOS devices, there will be a draggable section from where you can select and search for any emoji very easily.

However if you cannot see this new plus icon it means that the feature is not yet ready for your account. But as more activations are in the line for coming weeks. The new message reactions will soon be available to more beta testers. People using stable version of WhatsApp Android and iOS need to wait for future updates to get this feature.
