WhatsApp is releasing a new feature to undo deleted messages for beta Android users. The platform has submitted this update through the Google Play beta program with this update the version reaches up to 184.108.40.206. According to the reports, the platform is reportedly rolling out the ability to recover deleted messages to some select beta testers.
You all know that the popular messenger and chat support software regularly keeps on testing and adding new features to the platform. As WhatsApp is one of the most widely used messaging apps, it has to keep working to enhance its User experience.
WhatsApp releasing undo delete message
Previously WAbetaInfo had released an article on WhatsApp beta for Android 220.127.116.11. update. In this report, the news portal reported a new under-development feature that gives users the ability to recover deleted messages. The report mentioned that if you delete any message by mistake the company lets you undo it within a few seconds.
According to the report, the company started working on this feature after it posted a tweet about how you would feel if by mistake you delete any message only for you instead of deleting it for everyone. In this current beta update, the company is finally releasing the ability to undo the delete message feature to some select Android Beta testers.
The leading WhatsApp new source has also released a screenshot of the feature. In the screenshot, you can see that after this update when you attempt to delete any message a snack bar will show up. In the snack bar on one side, there will be written ‘message deleted’ and on another side, there will be a new ‘UNDO’ option.
Undo Delete Messages on WhatsApp
When you tap on this newly added option you will get a few seconds to recover your deleted message. As mentioned earlier this feature is currently available only to some select beta users. To get the ability to undo or delete messages, install the latest version of WhatsApp from the Play Store.
The report also mentions that some lucky users may also get the same feature in a previous update of the app. If the snack bar does not appear when you select the ‘delete for me’ option after installing the latest version, it means this feature is still not activated for your WhatsApp account.
However, more activations are on the line in the coming weeks, so you can expect to get it soon in a future update. For the more latest news and updates on upcoming new features and developments of WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, web/desktop, and Windows stay tuned with us.
