WhatsApp is working on a New Share Profile interface for beta Android users. The platform has submitted this update through the Google Play beta program with this update the current version reaches 2.22.9.8. This update reportedly brings reference to a new interface for profile sharing available in a future update of the app.

WhatsApp’s new share profile interface
According to a leading WhatsApp news portal WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp developers team is working to develop a redesigned profile-sharing interface for a future update. As per the reports when you will share your profile in the future, you will get to see this new interface.
The Dev team has introduced a minor change in the design, that is a ‘new share icon’ which will take the place of the QR code button. In the available screenshot of the new design, you can see that WhatsApp plans to bring a new interface for the share profile section also where you will be able to copy and share your short link.

Phone number and other details in Short link
For those who don’t know, the short link is a special Deep Link from where other users can open your profile directly within their WhatsApp application so that they can start a chat with you right away. Notably, the short link also contains your phone number so when you share your short Link your phone number automatically gets shared too.
The attached screenshot also reveals that this new interface is designed for WhatsApp business accounts only. Below the shared link option, you can read, the ‘Give your customers a short link so they can start a WhatsApp chat with your message. This makes it clear that only WhatsApp business users will get this new share profile interface.

As this feature is in the developing process it is not available to beta testers at present.
