WhatsApp’s new Caption view while sending media

In a previous article published last year, the leading WhatsApp news tracker WABetaInfo mentioned that the Instant Messaging platform was working on a feature that allows you to edit recipients before sending media. In this latest beta update, the platform is reportedly rolling out the new caption view to some select beta testers.

As you can see in the screenshot released by the news source, WhatsApp has redesigned the Interface. In this new Interface, the recipients are particularly highlighted. The difference is that until now you could not select different recipients while sending media from a chat. This was possible only when you use the camera tab.

After this Current update, if you want to send a photo, video, or GIF to any contact directly through their chat thread, you can choose other people as recipients even without taking a photo from the camera tab. The redesigned Interface also includes status updates. With this update, you can now define the target group of your status updates.

Previously it was possible to change who could view your status updates by taking photos from the camera tab. Here you could see WhatsApp’s ‘Privacy settings for the status updates section. As per the reports, WhatsApp is introducing these changes because the platform has plans to replace the ‘camera tab’ with the ‘community tab’ in a coming update of the app. The report adds this is why WhatsApp is making it easier to include more recipients while sending media files without using the camera tab.
