WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to move chat from Android to iOS. According to the reports, this feature is compatible with the 2.22.10.70 version of iOS and the 2.22.7.74 version of Android. In this update, the company is releasing the ability to transfer your chat history from an Android device to iPhone. The Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had earlier announced some major changes for the cloud Application Programming Interface at the conversation 2022 keynote.

WhatsApp allows moving chat from Android to iOS
The popular messaging platform released the ability to transfer chat history from iPhone to Android last year. At that time only some Samsung users could use this feature. Later Google enabled this support to all pixel devices. According to Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook post now the company is rolling it out to everyone.
Before migrating your chat first you need to have Android 5 or above installed on your device. Second iOS 15.5 or above installed on your iOS device. As per the reports of WABetaInfo, as iOS 16 is a beta version it is not known whether it will work or not because WhatsApp does not support the beta version of iOS.

How to transfer chat from Android to iOS
To begin the process connect both of your devices to the same power source. Then reset your iPhone to factory settings. After this open the ‘Move to iOS’ app on your Android phone and follow the instructions that appear. A code will appear on your phone. Enter that same code on your Android device. Then continue and select WhatsApp within the transfer data screen.
After this select ‘Start’ on your Android mobile and wait till all data is migrated. Once the process is completed you’ll automatically be signed out from your Android device. Then return to the ‘Move to iOS’ app by typing ‘NEXT’. To transfer all your data from Android to iPhone tap ‘CONTINUE’. When the transfer is complete ‘Move to iOS’ app will confirm it.

Then activate your iPhone and install WhatsApp’s latest version from the app store. Open your WhatsApp account and log in using the same mobile number that you used on your old device. Then tap ‘START’ and wait for the process to be completed. Once the process is complete your WhatsApp chats and media will show up on your iOS device.
