The platform already had a shortcut that lets users add contact details in WhatsApp. But as you all must be knowing that this feature would redirect you to your device’s contacts app. With this current beta update now you won’t have to leave the app for adding any new contact.

You can add these new contacts either directly to your contacts list or even to your Google account. And you get this ability straight from within your WhatsApp. Although WhatsApp had earlier released a feature with which you can add or edit your contact information.
