WhatsApp rolling out Document Caption feature to iOS beta testers

WhatsApp is rolling out the Document Caption feature to beta iOS users. The platform has submitted this update through the TestFlight beta program with this update the current version reaches 22.22.0.71. The same feature is available in the 2.22.22.71 version within WhatsApp settings. The TestFight build of this feature is 22.21.0. (409809977).

WhatsApp releasing Document Caption for iOS users

A previous article released by WABetaInfo, the leading WhatsApp news portal reported about WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.22.7 update. In this report, the news tracker made an announcement about the ability to share documents with a caption. The news tracker mentioned this same feature in another article about WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.22.0.71 also.

The feature was released for Android users but it was under development process for iOS users. In this current beta update, the Meta-owned platform is finally releasing Documents captioned to some select iOS beta testers.

WABetaInfo has also released a screenshot of the feature Document caption. In the available image, you can see that now it is possible to share documents with a caption on the iOS app. To check if this feature has been enabled in your WhatsApp account first open any WhatsApp conversation.

Share Document with Caption

Then tap on the ‘+’ button to open the chat share sheet. After this go to ‘Documents’. Then select a document that you want to send. If a caption bar appears below, this means the feature is available to you. As mentioned in the previous article adding a caption to the documents help you to find them quickly.

You just have to remember and enter the caption within the search text field. The Document Caption feature has been rolled out only to some select beta testers at present. Those who are not able to attach a caption to your documents can expect to get it soon.
