WhatsApp beta for Mac OS is now available to download for all on the official website. The new native app of the Meta Owned Company is reportedly built using Mac Catalyst. Earlier the beta program of the app was released only to some limited people on the private beta of Testflight.

In a previous article, the WhatsApp news portal reported about a new Mac OS WhatsApp application which was a native app built with Mac Catalyst. This application comes with a totally redesigned interface. It offers all the iOS features on your Mac. Users will get a dedicated app sidebar along with the ability to drag and drop files.
You can also easily flip between chats, calls, and starred and archived messages while browsing contacts and interactions. You also have the option to remove this sidebar. As per the reports you also have the ability to report crashes and other issues.
The report mentions that users can now install the native app by downloading the dmg file from the official website. Then the app lets you link your Android or iOS device by scanning a QR code. As this is built using Mac Catalyst, it provides a more seamless experience to WhatsApp users on Mac OS.
The new native app is reportedly optimized for apple Silicon processors and also supports a few older Intel processors. The report further mentions that the revamped app will provide a faster and more efficient user experience than the current version.
Notably, the app is still in a beta version so all features might not work as planned. The app is also likely to get several other new features in the coming days.
