When working on a presentation, it is frustrating to switch tabs to find a perfect image that will fit in the slide. However, Google brings a solution for this. With its AI presentation generator, you don’t need to go anywhere to find content or create an image that will perfectly fit in the slide. It not only provides you the data to add to the slide based on the text prompt but also helpful templates, images through Gemini, and slideshows in a matter of minutes.
The best part is that the tool is not only available on the Chromebook, but all the Desktops. If you wish to know how you can use Gemini to create images in Google Slides, we will bring all-around steps to do so in the article below.
How to Get Access to Gemini in Google Slides?
Google-powered Gemini is the AI PowerPoint presentation generator via Google Slides. It allows users to access its GPT to generate presentation slides with unique templates, high-quality AI-generated Data, and a perfect professional PPT, and that too in minutes.
Although, the image generation tool is not available in the Gemini by default. If you wish to access it, you will need to enroll yourself in one of the Google AI Programs:
- Google Gemini and its Business Add-Ons for Google Workshop Account.
- For Personal accounts, purchase Google One AI Premium.
- Google Workspace Labs.
- For the Education Google Workshop, enroll in the Gemini Education Add-on.
If you want free access to Gemini, you can use Google Workspace Labs. But its access is restricted, and after using it once, you will need to wait for months to access it again. Our recommendation is to use any other premium program to get unrestricted access to the tool and use it to get the best outcomes without spending hours on research and beautification of your presentation.
If you have a personal account, the best option is to purchase Google One AI Premium. It’s free for two months for the first-time user, after which it costs 20 dollars per month. It provides you with two TB storage on your Google Account, in addition to access to the Gemini. You will also get premium features like Unlimited Magic Editor, Fitbit, and Nest Aware premiums along with this program.
Google Education is another premium plan available for Google Workspace Education accounts. You can find basic and premium plans in this option, and depending on the license and monthly limit, the services are offered.
Use Gemini to Create Images in Google Slides
Once you have access to the Gemini using one of the above plans, you can log in to your Google Accounts and Open Google Slides. To ensure you have Google Gemini access, you can look for the Create Image with Gemini button on the top panel of the tool. If you don’t have the button, you might not have access to AI tools. If you have it, you can use the below steps to create and add images in Google Slide.
- Click the button Create Image with Gemini in the toolbar. Alternatively, you can also click Insert, go to Image, and then click Create Image with Gemini.
- You will find a text prompt to add a description of the picture you want AI to generate. After adding a detailed description, tap Create.
- It will take almost 20 seconds for Gemini to create an image based on the prompt.
- You will get multiple image options depending on your description. Select the picture you wish to add to your Google Slide.
Similar to any inserted image on the Google slide, you will have an option to Edit these images. You can crop, rotate, or apply transparency settings to them based on your requirements. If you aren’t satisfied with the initial four images, you can tap View More to generate similar images based on your prompt.
Type of Images Can Gemini Create?
If you wish to use Gemini for generating images, we have collated a list of the types of images it can create. Gemini don’t have the flexibility to create a human image based on description till now. However, it can generate images of natural sceneries, an object, or abstract ideas.
1. Generate an Object with Gemini
You can add a prompt to generate an object. For example, you can ask Gemini to create a coffee mug placed on a table, and it will provide you with multiple options of coffee mugs with different table backgrounds.
2. Create a Scene
When using Gemini, you can enter a prompt, say sunrise from a mountain to get an image of a scene. You can also add prompts such as a bird flying to get close to reality images.
Generate an abstract image. You can also ask Gemini to create an Abstract painting or a random DNA.
3. Generate Text Signs
You can also create warning signs or error codes with the Gemini prompts.
4. Generate Images with Human Gestures
Although AI is not able to generate human-like images yet, you can add a prompt like a handshake to get an image from Gemini.
Tips to Generating Images on Google Slide Using Gemini
1. Try to be Descriptive
The key to using AI is adding as much description as possible to the text prompt. AI doesn’t decide on its own. Thus, we must specify all the details we need in an image. When you generate an AI image, little details count to make your imagination come true on your computer screen.
2. Add Styles to Make the Picture More Aesthetic
You can also add styles like you want crayon images or watercolor images and generate them in a particular style.
3. Check & Use Previously Generated Image
Gemini stores all the images that you generate using it. You can review some older pictures and use them to create slides.
