The next Samsung Galaxy M16 5G is expected to make waves, following the release of its predecessor, the Galaxy M15 5G, in March 2024. Recent leaks have shown the phone’s design, which includes several intriguing upgrades while preserving its affordable price. Let us take a closer look at the Galaxy M16 5G’s design and predicted specifications!
New Design Elements
The leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy M16 5G show a new design with small but noticeable differences.
- Color Options: The phone is rumored to be available in three vibrant colors: dark grey, mint green, and peachy tones. These alternatives provide a variety of looks to accommodate diverse tastes.
- Light-Ray Effect: One notable element is the light-ray-like pattern on the back surface, which adds dimension to the design. It differs from the micro-grid layout found on the Galaxy M15 5G.
Camera Design: The back camera module has been changed, with a clear distinction between the bottom sensor and the other two. This represents a departure from the M15’s design, which was more reminiscent of the Galaxy S24’s camera configuration. - Front and Sides: The front has an Infinity-U cutout for a budget-friendly design. The smartphone has a broad chin that emphasizes its low price point. The design, however, is modern, with flat metallic sides and rounded edges.
Expected Specifications
The increased specifications of the Samsung Galaxy M16 5G will result in improved performance.
- Processor: The phone will use the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, which has two Cortex A76 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and six Cortex A55 cores clocked at 2 GHz. This chip, when combined with the Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, outperforms the Dimensity 6100+ in the M15 5G.
- RAM and Storage: The phone will have 8GB of RAM for seamless multitasking. The gadget is believed to use Android 14 as its operating system.
- Benchmark Scores: The M16 scored 552 in single-core and 1,611 in multi-core CPU tests, demonstrating excellent performance for its class.
